Can't Get Key Out Of Ignition Camaro
What i did does not FIX the problem but it does disable the key lock safety fixture and ensuring your key will not be stuck in accessory from here on out.
Can't get key out of ignition camaro. To fix this grab hold of the column on the on the lower section of the colum right near where it meets the dash and turn this section counter clockwise till it stops. Theres the same yellow switch that the Camaro has but its on the opposite side of the ignition to the Camaro. Most car with headers have it disabled and if the lever at the bottom of the column isnt wired up all the way the collar at the top of the column isnt turned counter-clockwise all the way and you cant get the key out.
If you continue to attempt to turn your key in the ignition or extract it from the ignition there is a high possibility that you will break your key or harm your ignition cylinder. This is a 2005 New Jetta. I could turn the car on but could not get the key out of the ignition thus draining the battery overnight.

If this does not work rock the steering wheel as you jiggle the key in the ignition. This is a very common situation when you park on hills park with the wheels turned all the way in one direction or if the wheels were turned with the vehicle not moving before the ignition was shut off. I used the Camaro solutiontook out 3 screws 1 under the wheel and 2 on either side of the wheel when you turn it to 6 oclock and took the bottom panel off to expose under where the key goes.
